Before the "March for our Lives" many schools planned walkouts to support the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School (FL.). Many news outlets were covering the walkouts, including 'Educationviews.org' an online publication focusing on news directly related to education. 'Educationviews' published an article discussing a lawsuit filed by the Chicago GOP following school organized walkouts at several Chicago schools. The article mentions how the school was encouraging parents and students to discuss the walkout before participating and quotes a letter from the principal of Lincoln Elementary School, which cites NewseumED's “Teachable Moment" as resource for facilitating that conversation.
