WASHINGTON — Today, the Newseum announced that its online learning module “Women, Their Rights and Nothing Less: The First Amendment and the Women’s Suffrage Movement” has been endorsed by the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS), an association dedicated to supporting social studies education. The module, made possible by the generous support of the American Association of University Women, explores how the suffragists embraced the First Amendment as a tool to help achieve ratification of the 19th Amendment.
