New! from NewseumED

On the Road — Winter 2018 Conferences

We'll be busy exhibiting and/or presenting on fake news and our media literacy resources at a number of conferences from coast-to-coast.

If you’re at one of the conferences, we hope you will attend our presentation or stop by our booth to check out our free, fabulous resources. Pick up copies of our new E.S.C.A.P.E. Junk News and Is This Story Share-Worthy? posters (with lesson plans on the back) and enter to win a cool Apple Watch 3 at our booths.

We’re co-presenting with Texas high school teacher Chad Taylor on “Fighting Fake News: How to Outfox Trolls and Troublemakers” at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in room 10B.  Our exhibit booth is 1824.

We’re partnering with Source for Learning in presenting a pre-conference session on how to teach media literacy in a world of misinformation. “Fighting Fake News With an EdTech Twist” will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, in the Hershey Lodge, Cocoa Suite 3.
